Ayodhya witnessed a landmark moment on Tuesday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the saffron Dhwaj atop the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The ceremony, held in the Abhijit Muhurat, marked the symbolic completion of the temple’s main structure, and the visuals from the day were nothing short of historic.

Ayodhya welcomes the Prime Minister with flowers

The road leading to the temple was lined with petals and vibrant floral installations spelling out “Jai Shri Ram”.

The ceremonial flag, 22 ft x 11 ft, features ancient Ramayana motifs and was custom-built for the 161-ft shikhar.

“Aaj sampoorna Bharat Ram-may hai… sadiyon ki vedna aaj viraam paa rahi hai,” the PM said, calling it a moment of closure and unity.
The Dhwajarohan Utsav marks the completion of the reconstruction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
In the words of PM Modi: “The wounds of centuries are healing, the pain of centuries is finding rest today. The resolve of centuries is coming to fruition. Today marks the completion of the same Yagya whose fire has been burning for five hundred years—a Yagya that never wavered in faith, never faltered in belief, not for a single moment.”
